John has been practising locally since 1990. Being an engineer by first career he has also been involved in the design and manufacture of office chairs and car seats. John believes that design of seating is responsible for many of the low back problems, which are so common in our lifestyle.

As a therapist, John emphasises the importance of daily stretching both for prevention and correction of musculoskeletal problems. He has taught these ideas for some years as a "Natural Joint Mobility" course both for patients and to chiropractors at the McTimoney Chiropractic School.

John has found this important in maintaining the level of fitness necessary to teach skiing as a qualified instructor and party leader and to ride at a reasonable standard of dressage at the age of 63- and also to teach his children sailing and tennis.
