Yoga is a combination of physical and mental exercises which promote flexibility, reduce stress and increase stamina and strength.
In your yoga class, you will try to work on four areas, suppleness, strength, stamina and concentration
Suppleness is achieved by the correct practice of the yoga postures which will improve the way the muscles work and promote more flexible joints. Regular practice will improve strength, increase bone density and help reduce the possible onset of osteoporosis. Exercising for stamina, which works on the cardiovascular system, helps to develop resistance to heart disease whilst concentration teaches us to focus our minds.
